As Christian / Biblical counselors we are not regulated by the state. As such we are not able to accept private or public medical insurance for payment.
Access to Christian counseling for all of God’s people is important to us. If cost is a barrier to entering into counseling with us, please reach out to us at info@olivepresscounseling.com to discuss options. We can work with partner churches and other supporters to help offset the cost on a case by case basis.
When beginning counseling we prefer to meet on a regular basis for the first few sessions to establish a firm foundation. This might be weekly or every other week for the first few sessions. Once we have an established relationship counseling may occur less frequently (e.g. once a month) depending on where you are at and what we determine together is most helpful.
The length of time you continue counseling is completely up to you, but it’s important to understand that counseling is much more a journey than a single treatment. We will regularly discuss together where you are at in counseling and what a path forward that leads to help and healing looks like.
Currently all appointments are via an online Telehealth app. In person counseling has wonderful benefits, but conducting counseling online helps us to reach more people in spaces they are comfortable with.
